About Operations Mapping & Analysis
OM&A was started in 2010 by Tim Rivers. Tim is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Texas and earned his BBA in Accounting from the University of Houston. He has a combined twelve years of financial and internal audit experience with Arthur Anderson & Co., Brown & Root, Inc. and Dresser Industries. Tim also has six years experience as the Corporate Controller for U. S. Paper Co. In 1993 Tim started Cellulose Paper Co. as a mill agent and broker of web grade printing paper which eventually achieved over 7,500 tons in annual paper sales. During that time Tim served as Treasurer and President of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Houston Chapter and past and current service on the boards of various charitable and 501(c)(3) corporations.
In his operations and financial audit experience Tim worked in various overseas locations including France, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Indonesia, Mexico and Canada. His experience with foreign service and manufacturing companies helped to develop the interviewing and documentation skills needed to reach the required level of detail necessary for full compliance reporting.
Also included in the range of OM&A expertise is an instructor level knowledge and understanding of Cost Accounting. It is our belief that the proper application of cost methodology will improve the validity of your financial statements, shorten the response time to address unfavorable production practices and ensure standardized departmental reporting.
You can rely on our experience with ERP systems for reliability check and installation. We have recent experience with the Made2Manage package that integrates inventory, scheduling, shop floor control, labor and general ledger. OM&A can help ensure that your ERP system reconciles to your financial records and suggest modifications if required.
